Climate Resilient Eco-friendly Agriculture Mainstreaming (CREAM) in AsiaThe present phase of Caritas Asia agriculture program is re-named as the “Climate Resilient Eco-friendly Agriculture Mainstreaming (CREAM) in Asia". The history of CREAM in Asia is rooted in 1995. The then “Farmers’ Conference (FC)” was organized to protect farmers and farmers’ rights in Asia. Since then, the Farmers’ Conference has become the most central activity of this program. The Farmers’ Conference has given this program an Asian-face. The Program will enhance grassroots level farmers to practice, promote and advocate eco-friendly agriculture. This initiatives includes farmers rights over seeds (to exchange, borrow, sale, preserve, promote, reproduce etc.) and resources (biological and technological). |
