Creation of a just, equitable and humane society through a process of globalisation and civilization of love and peace in the Asian Region.

Caritas Asia, the Asian Continental part of Caritas Internationalis, which is a Confederation of 162 Caritas Organizations in 200 countries in the world, it believes in the creation of a just, humane and equitable society through a process of globalisation of love and a creation of the civilization of love and peace. It realizes its goals by its effective intervention in all occasions of human misery caused by natural and human made disasters in giving immediate relief and setting in a process of long term rehabilitation. In ordinary circumstances of life Caritas Asia introduces a process of integral human development by creating awareness education and motivation for action towards social transformation in and through the creation of grassroots groups. Caritas Asia helps fight injustices, exploitation and human misery created by the dominant and vested interests groups in the society. It aims to create a society based on peace and harmony through inter-religious and inter-ethnic dialogue effectively intervening towards conflicts and crises arising out of them. Lobbying and advocacy are its principal means in its struggle on the side of the poor and the oppressed.
